The mission of IVN.us is to raise the level of civil discourse to a place where solutions are more persuasive than talking points, and participation is not conditioned on your party affiliation.
Hopefully they will fix some of my many gripes with iTunes 11 this month. iTunes has been too bad for too long.
If every publication was comparably substantive, the world would be a much better place.

As we talked about on another post, I'll concede that simply naming presidents is somewhat misleading about who is actually to blame. For this post, I mainly named Bush and Obama to represent the recent/current eras (2001-2008, 2009-2012) of their presidencies. In the blog post, I excluded presidents altogether since the emphasis was simply on the size of the number 16,000,000,000,000 in terms of dollar bills.
My secondary intention was to give myself an excuse to play with really big numbers, since I enjoy absurd statistics.
