In short, the rest of the world said so.... Kind of undermines the story of the US being the leader of the free world doesn't it? SMH...
Now we all know that this private sale has nothing to do with the gun show, since it's just a convenient way to find a large number of gun buyers in one place. And the law is silent on private transactions (as it should be). In fact, we knowledgeable folks know that the person you meet and deal with at a gun show is less likely to be a criminal, a nut or a domestic abuser, since they would never pass a background check from the dealers anyway. Which would make it stupid for them to shop at a gun show, right? Isn't someone without legal issues the kind of person to whom you want to sell your gun?
You and I and other smart gun owners know all this. To everyone else, it's a "loophole."
