On Thursday, June 6th Daniel Holzman returns home to the Upper East Side to host a special pop-up dinner with cocktails by

The Meatball Shop's beverage director Sky Latorre—at newly reopened 83 1/2 Restaurant.

The special evening preludes Daniel’s more permanent return to the Upper East Side, scheduled for this summer when he and partner Michael Chernow will open the fifth location of The Meatball Shop.

A departure from the meatball-centric recipes Daniel has become known for, the pop-up dinner on June 6th will feature no meatballs at all and instead, family-style dishes like Broiled Salmon with fried chili and lemon; Lamb Scaloppini; Braised English Peas, Artichokes and Spring Onions; Sunchoke Salad, prepared with carrots Daniel has pickled himself; and Cherries and Red Wine, with sour cream and lady fingers.

Guests can also partake in specialty beverage pairings, created and served by The Meatball Shop’s Beverage Director, Skye Latorre.

TIME: The evening will feature two seatings, 7pm & 9pm

LOCATION: 83 1/2 Restaurant at 345 E. 83rd Street, New York, NY (between 1st and 2nd Avenues)

COST: $60 per person, or $80 with cocktail pairings
