The mood of the place is impressive to say the least. Roy Hamwi Once Been There Back In 2010, It Have A Great Importance To Syria's Heritage,
In 2013 And Due To The War It Was Locked And Still. Steve Douglas This castle, probably best known as the Krak de Chevaliers (Castle of the Crusaders), was a highlight of my trip through Syria. Its condition is absolutely remarkable and the surrounding lookout impressive. Highly recommended. Matt Morris Visited in 2010 before the castle was hit by shell fire. It is a spectacular place with very specific geographic location that uncover all the surrounding mountain area.
Do not miss it with new Syria.
