I stumbled into this place because it was nearby a lunchtime appointment. I loved the space. It was a mix between small tables and huge communal tables. It was very rustic and open. There were a lot of pre-packaged salads, but I was drawn to the sandwiches. I had the deviled egg salad sandwich. It had great, hearty bread that really held the egg salad and tomatoes in place. Great flavors. I'm interested to try more.

Great, inexpensive food. They have outlets, but it's not really a working cafe.

I love their breakfast items such as the Fried Egg Sandwich and Chicken Sausage Biscuit. Service is fast yet if you go in the early morning you will see cute little kids playing around and it can get noisy. They have a screen TV with sports either Tennis, Soccer (Futbol) and Football. I like going there from time to time. Good customer service. Coffee isn't that special yet it's house coffee.

Ryan Scott is one of my favorite chefs. I fell in love with his food at Mission Beach Cafe. I came here on the opening day. Brunch is by far favorite meal and I would highly recommend this place. This restaurant has a lot going for it. Its order at the counter. There is hardly any wait at all (none of that typical 1.5 hour wait on a Saturday morning). There is plenty of parking along with outdoor seating on the picnic tables that get plenty of sunshine sans the wind. My favorite dish has always been the Benedict. The hollandaise is well balanced and doesn't overwhelm the dish. The yolk is perfectly "medium rare" as I like it. They always have a nice homemade muffin which it is served on. I'm not a huge sweets person for brunch but Market & Rye has the best churros I've ever had. Best way I can describe it is like a fried under-cooked French toast with homemade chocolate dip. Its a must have! Oh, and the staff are pretty amazing. ;)

EDIT: Benedict has been consistently overcooked (yolk almost completely solid) on my past three visits. Hopeful that it's a fluke. Awesome weekend brunch with counter service. Ryan Scott's new place. Awesome benedict, the best churro I've had, amazing pastries. Top notch.
