In all of the marketing trends and predictions for 2015, I've been saying the same thing: This year is going to be the year of cooperative #content .

What do I mean by this? I mean that the content sources that you have at your disposal are vast and untapped.

Exactly...I would rather see my friends' kids' back-to-school pics, (which is obnoxious enough...written by a girl who loves a good selfie and putting up son pics?! LOL) LOL

I am also writing as someone who is personally close to this cause as my Mom has ALS...as I said on my Twitter last night, "write a check and congratulate yourself in the mirror." That should be enough...sadly in today's social society it is not. :( I could go on, but I will spare you. LOL

Introduction

Macy is an innovative marketer and experienced networker, with a passion for building. As an entrepreneur and marketing strategist, Macy can spot opportunities to strengthen brands and businesses alike. She's been quoted in Fast Company as a female entrepreneur who can "stand out in a sea of dudes" and has been called "the bees-knees" by Foursquare founder, Dennis Crowley.

Currently, Macy is the Director of Social Strategy at Brand Driven Social, and a personal branding consultant to executives and professionals.

Macy has spoken at conferences and on panels with content regarding branding, social media and marketing, and has served on many committees ranging from community building to event planning. She is deeply immersed in the startup culture in the midwest, having helped found RecBob, and continues to contribute to the regional startup and tech focused publication, Silicon Prairie News.

Recently, Macy was appointed to the Board of Directors for Murals & More, the Community Conversation Corps for The Gazette, and to the position of President for the Cedar Rapids Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumnae Association.

She lives in Iowa's Creative Corridor with fellow marketer, Reid Travis, and dog, Huxley. When not working or jotting down her "next big idea," Macy can be found walking on a trail, painting on canvas, or tasting the newest craft brew.
