Another game down. We got off to a slow start as I had another player join the game. His character creation went amazingly quick and we were off after a recap and introduction to the party.

The player's continue on their way to brining the dark tomb to Elder Hawthorne. They faced down some thugs shaking down refugees fleeing the destruction of their village. I gave the players every opportunity to pass by without getting involved, but they stepped in. They will meet up with the gang again.

On the road they also met up with a nobleman and his bannermen and showed proper respects and made a good impression. Also something that will come back into the game later.

We cut to a travel montage with rolls for hunting and gathering. Some rolls to avoid mundane dangers. The players arrive to Elder Hawthorne's library and menagerie in time to save him from some shadowy figures who made off with a valuable scroll.

The session was slower in action than most but planted a lot of seeds for later plot hooks.

My review of Forbidden Lore. Since I read through a few products in my backlog in preparation for my online campaign, the Shadow of the Demon Lord falls on my blog this week. More to come, and thanks for your time!

Jared's thoughts after running his first game.
I posted some thoughts on how our first Shadow of the Demon Lord game went online, what I would have done differently, where I messed up, and where we are going from here.

Thanks for your time, and if you visit the page, thanks!

I just picked up uncertain faith....If that's not the most beautiful RPG book I own I don't know what is. Such and interesting book all the way around. I mean all the POD books I've gotten for Sotdl have been beautiful....But I think Uncertain faith is stand out.
