In 2012, Bank of America operated more than 300 subsidiaries incorporated in offshore tax havens like the Cayman Islands, which has no corporate taxes. Read about Sen. Sander' budget plan to stop the use of offshore tax havens here: http://www.sanders.senate.gov/budget/

Helpful to know.

I sometimes use 411 when I'm driving, and don't have access to a friend I can call with internet access. Ha. I use 511 pretty often, but it's rarely useful anymore, because it never understands my voice prompts, now. They "upgraded" the system a couple years ago. The voice recognition was much better before the "upgrade". The voice talking back is nicer--more natural, but I get so angry with it, because I think I'm a pretty clear speaker.
Everyone should know that in case of a medical, fire, or police emergency, calling 911 is one of the first things you should do. What many people don't know is that, in less dire circumstances, there are several other N-1-1 numbers that provide essential services, too!

OMG ... so many thoughts on this ...

"Now, it's easier than ever to throw gasoline on a fire!"

"Now, it's easier than ever to be a conformist!"

"Now, it's easier than ever to be a sheeple!"

Seriously? Most of these "trends" shouldn't be, but only are because NO ONE HAS A LIFE any more!

Now it's easier than ever to follow what's trending on Google!

Google introduces Google Trends emailed to you!

"Google announced today they will be rolling out the ability for users to have popular topics from Google Trends and Hot Searches delivered via email.

This new feature will work in a very similar way to how Google Alerts currently works. You will be able to subscribe to a particular topic and receive a notification if there is an increase in search volume around that topic.

Currently, Google allows you to subscribe to any search topic, Hot Searches for any country, or any U.S. monthly Top Chart.
You will also be able to subscribe to notifications about trending topics by location. For example, if you want to stay up to date about trends and popular searches in your local area, you can set up an email notification to tell you about the “hottest” Hot Searches in the location of your choice and get occasional emails about major local trends."

Introduction
I am a 50 year old male, married to the greatest woman in the world, Laura. We live in Independence, Missouri, and have five cats. We are both employed as Registered Respiratory Therapists at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Missouri.

I am the current PCLinuxOS Magazine Chief Editor, and an avid supporter and user of PCLinuxOS, a Linux based operating system that is an alternative to Microsoft Windows (and in my opinion, much better and more stable than Windows ever was or will be). Best of all, it's FREE, as in speech and beer. And who wouldn't like a free beer or the ability to speak freely?

Rick, the proprietor of the shop, is very friendly and greeted us right away when we entered the shop. After living in Independence for many years, we actually FORGOT that this place existed, until it showed up on a Google search for local bike dealers. We went there yesterday (July 18, 2012) to check out the place and pick up a few incidental supplies (handlebar tape and a couple of inner tubes). We will definitely return. A huge plus is the proximity to our home. It'll be nice to patronize a friendly local business, rather than having to drive to bike shops located in other municipalities in the Kansas City metro area. As an added bonus, Rick sponsors two weekly bike rides every week during "riding season." Both start @ 1830. On Mondays, there's a faster-paced ride (~20 mph) for intermediate to advanced riders. On Thursday evenings, there's a slower and easier paced ride (Rick calls them "Sleasy" rides -- for slow and easy). A typical "Sleasy" ride is a leisurely ride from the Independence Square (where Peddlers is located) to the Englewood shopping district in Independence, and back to the shop. During Sleasy rides, you ride as a group and no one is left behind. After the ride, many riders gather for pizza and a drink at Square Pizza on the Independence Square. Some riders even hang around for the free outdoor family movie on the Independence Square after that. I will definitely be patronizing this local business a lot more, now that I've rediscovered them! Hours: 10 am to 6 pm M-F, 10 am to 4 pm Sat, Closed on Sunday.
