An opportunity to meet and listen to Tom Hingley, ex-frontman of one of the most influential bands to come out of Manchester, The Inspiral Carpets. As well as maintaining a successful solo career, Tom now fronts several new bands, including Not in Education and also The Lovers which includes Steve Hanley who is best known for playing bass guitar in The Fall.

Tom will be playing solo as well as talking about his new book Carpet Burns which is an insightful reflection of Tom's time with the band Inspiral Carpets. Book signing also.

Also featuring Claire Cameron Band an inventive and catchy female-fronted alternative rock band. Fusing genres of rock, alternative and singer-songwriter with a hint of metal they create a superb, melody driven sound.

Continuing the energetic Leeds tradition the band write and perform original, passionate, emotive songs with their signature mix of styles. The bands new release 'Time Will Tell' is out now! http://www.jumborecords.co.uk/music-item.asp?product_id=CCBTWT001

'Cameron's beautiful, haunting, candid vocals that travel on dreamlike keyboard parts simply demand to be heard.' A Musical Priority

'With influences ranging from Beyonce to Led Zeppelin, there is most definitely something for everyone in Claire Cameron Band’s music, and I suggest if they are playing a gig near you, you go and check them out!' Chelle's Rock Blog

'Ghostown Soldier' is Matt Anderson who has recently released his Album Ghostown Soldier.
Matt played in 'The Mindermasts' and 'Still Wired Monday', who were signed to 'Sound People' a small Indie label in Leeds playing the same circuit as The Kaiser Chiefs, The Pigeon Detectives and The Invention, supporting acts such as The Rascalls and Tom Hingley from Inspiral Carpets. These were all good experiences, but Matt wanted more.

Matt discovered that songwriting was a useful outlet for his thoughts, experiences and feelings. He started writing his own songs as therapy to deal with personal problems. His songs are truth for people to relate to. He calls it Music From The Soul, about his journey through life.

Inventive and catchy music fusing genres of rock, folk, metal, pop, and acoustic
Introduction
Claire Cameron Band’s music is inventive and catchy, fusing genres of rock, folk, metal, pop, and acoustic music to create a superb, melody driven sound which is delighting audiences wherever they play. Continuing the energetic Leeds tradition the band write and perform original, passionate, emotive songs with their signature mix of styles. Claire Cameron Band have a dynamic and compelling stage presence that exhibits a real love of music and performance that is infectious to the crowd, and are becoming known for their well-rehearsed and passionately delivered sets as well as the generous scattering of Chocolate Eclairs across the venue!

It has been a busy year or two for Claire Cameron Band with live performances at Limetree Festival, BOMFEST, 360 Club (recorded live for Festival TV and interviewed by Alan Raw, of BBC West Yorkshire Introducing on BBC Radio Leeds: see the performance on Youtube), PUNK and Leeds Festival Fringe going down a storm.

CCB took to the stage as a full electric band on Friday 30th September for their first London headline gig at 100 Club. While this was their first official headline slot in London, it was their third gig in London this year, having played at The Bowery in March and PUNK, Soho in July.

Following in the footsteps of The Rolling Stones, Paul Weller and Sinead O’Connor, CCB played at this iconic venue for the popular Friday 'Future Rock' night put on by Feedme Music, and the band blew the roof off with their electrifying set! AMP Magazine reviewed the performance here and Borin Van Loon has put a review up of the show as well.

Claire Cameron Band played 100 Club again for another headline show at 100 club on 27th January, and the launch night of Leeds Digital Festival.

Heading back to 100 Club for a third time on 28th September 2012 CCB will be launching their much anticipated EP which is being recorded at No Machine Studio over the coming months....
