Two exciting musical events of top quality in one weekend on Churchill Island! Here is the ticketing information about the MSO concert on Sat 2nd Feb and Serenade at Sunset on Sun 3rd Feb:

Melbourne Symphony Orchestra at Churchill Island, Saturday 2nd February 2013 - coming soon!

Set on the spectacular lawns of Churchill Island Heritage Farm, the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra is set to delight visitors against a backdrop of cottage gardens, heritage buildings and stunning bay views. Conductor Benjamin Northey will lead the 70 piece orchestra through classics from Rossini, Puccini, Tchaikovsky and more while accompanied by soprano Antoinette Halloran.

During the event guests can treat their taste buds with a pre-booked dining package featuring the fine food and wine of the Gippsland region, including gourmet baguettes, champagne and locally produced chocolate, beef and lamb. Cafe dining is also available during the event at the Churchill Island Cafe. A tantalising two-course meal including a bottle of Jacob's Creek wine can be enjoyed in the cafe area inside and alfresco dining is available. Combine your MSO ticket with a 3 Parks Pass for entry to the Penguin Parade, Koala Conservation Centre and Churchill Island Heritage Farm.

Local discount only available to residents of the Bass Coast Shire. Proof of residency required on entry - rates notice, drivers licence, photo/address ID or utilities bill or receipt.

Saturday/Sunday 7-8 April - Easter Fun Festival - FOCIS will run a puppet decorating tent over the two days and also provide information about the society. Volunteers are needed for two hour shifts. Please email or phone Christine. cgrayden@waterfront.net.au or 0400 900 612.
