15 things you learn in your 30s (and maybe late 20s)
I'm 33 now, and I've compiled this list of things I've learned since I've turned 30: 1)  All those years of forgoing moisturizer, especially on your neck, start showing when you hit 30.  Now you moisturize, moisturize, moisturize, but it's harder to fix thi...

Pain wears you out and lowers your self-esteem
Today has been an icky day, as well as yesterday.  My joints and muscles are hurting really bad, and I'm just so worn out from the pain.  I feel like crying.  I have so much to do, I need to wash a load of laundry, fold the clean laundry piled up in the bed...

I hope the doctor is able to help.  It's really important to have a doctor you can trust.  I hope he's able to help you get your pain under control.  I believe one day there will be a cure, in fact I'm counting on it. :-)

SUMMARY:

* America imprisons 716 people per 100,000 citizens (of any age), which is significantly worse than Russia (484 prisoners per 100,000 citizens), China (121) and Iran (284)

* The U.S. is also the only developed country that executes prisoners

* Over two and a half million American children have a parent behind bars.

* A whopping 60 percent of those incarcerated in U.S. prisons are non-violent offenders, many of them in prison for drug charges (overwhelmingly African-Americans)

* As of 2011, an estimated 217,000 American prisoners were raped each year – that's 600 new victims every day

* The report found that 12.1 percent of all youth held in juvenile detention reported sexual violence

* The U.S. leads the developed world in firearm-related murders, the U.S. has 20 times more murders than the developed world average, also dwarfing many developing nations

* Some cities like New Orleans and Detroit rival the most violent Latin American countries, where gun violence is highest in the world

* The U.S. has one of the highest proportion of suicides committed with a gun

* In many American counties, especially in the deep South, life expectancy is lower than in Algeria, Nicaragua or Bangladesh

* Even after the Affordable Care Act, millions of poor Americans will remain uninsured

* The U.S. has an infant mortality rate that dwarfs comparable nations, as well as the highest teenage-pregnancy rate in the developed world, largely because of the politically-motivated unavailability of contraception in many areas

* America has one of the highest achievement gaps between high income and low income students

* Schools today are actually more racially segregated than they were in the 1970s

* Our higher education system is unique among developed nations in that is funded almost entirely privately, by debt

* Children born in the poorest quintile have a less than 3 percent chance of reaching the top quintile

* One in nine U.S. bridges (or 66,405 bridges) are considered "structurally deficient"

* Large portions of U.S. wastewater capacity are more than half a century old and in Detroit, some of the sewer lines date back to the mid-19th century

* 2.5 percent of the voting-age population, cannot vote because they have a felony on record means that politicians can lock up more and more citizens without fear of losing their seat
Our society lags behind the rest of the developed world in education, health care, violence and more

Not that we'd want to. But many Americans, perplexingly, have taken that path in the last ten years.

This is the absolute worst pharmacy I've ever been to in my life. The people there are incredibly rude, short me on medication by not putting in the amount of pills it says are in the bottle. I can only guess at what they do with the medication that doesn't end up in my bottle. Once they gave my fiancé the wrong medicine, and if that wasn't bad enough, it was a medicine he was very allergic to. Fortunately we realized before he took it and went into anaphylaxis. I will go up to the pharmacy to pick up my medications, stressing over and over that I want to pick up all my medication refills, and they will only give me part of them, so I have to go back the next day to get the bottles they didn't give me. I've made so many trips because they messed something up. As if that wasn't enough, the pharmacy lies about faxing my doctors and are some of the rudest people I've ever met in my entire life. If you live in Sedalia, Missouri, I recommend Walgreen's pharmacy. I've always had good luck there.
