Hi!  I'm glad I found this community.  This is the first community post I've ever done!  :-)  I am TTC (obviously) and have PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome).  I don't have a pregnancy blog or anything, just my regular blog.
I have a question, though.  We usually need to use lubricant when making love, but since I've been TTC we haven't, because we don't know if certain kinds make it harder for the swimmers to well...swim though.  I've seen all these lubes for women TTC on Amazon, and I was wondering if it is worth the extra money to buy a specialty lube?  If so, what brands are the best?

This girl has the same disorder I have, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), a disabling rare genetic syndrome that is quite painful and limits mobility in many people.  She is in a motorized wheelchair, as her joints are in such ill health as to not be able to push herself in a manual wheelchair.  She is raising money to be able to get a lift for her wheelchair in her vehicle, without the lift she can't get her motorized wheelchair in her automobile.  If you can donate that would be great.

I don't know this woman, but I'd hope to get the same response from strangers, too, if my EDS was causing me to be put in the spot she is now.

If you can, share this on Google+, and/or share it on all of your social networks.
My name is Cassandra Schmidt, I am 27years old and I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome type 3. Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (or EDS) is an incurable connective tissue disease caused by genetic defect/mutation. There are several different types and all types can have overlapping features. I was born with this...

The death sentence is abhorable enough, but this man, who is to be executed on January 27, 2015, is going to be murdered by the state even though he has a lifelong intellectual disability. #WarrenHill

Didn't they just end up executing him against the wishes of the court? Or am I mixing 2 different cases together? Seems like more and more stories similar to this keep coming out and now they're just all one case in my mind. The death penalty needs to be just completely abolished in this country. No matter how "humane" the state believes it's passing off an execution, when it comes down to basics, they are ending someone's life forever. Yes, I get that they (most likely, as there have been people sentenced just for being in the same area as a death penalty crime) forcefully took the life of another person. But spending the rest if one's life, of decades, in prison is a bad enough punishment. And our legal system is woefully out of date with current medicine and psychology, another good reason to end it. What comes down to is state sponsered murder. By issuing a death sentence, that judge is really not too different than the criminal, except he doesn't do it and the job gets passed off to some poor prison doctor or someone like that. I have read a few accounts from people who have done executions, and I really feel for them. However, on the flip side, I think that doctor assisted suicide should be legalized, because honestly, making someone suffer in unimaginable ways from a terminal illness just waiting for the day they finally die to end their suffering, or a severe, untreatable, unbearable illness with no hope to get better, like having intractable pain so severe you have to be placed in a drug induced coma (apparently that's possible), that's just straight up torture, cruel and unusual punishment for just being sick and untreatable. I cannot fathom the logic behind forcing people experiencing unimaginable suffering and pain and whatever else, constant, every second of every day, to stay alive, and making it impossible to consult a doctor and receive the proper medications and amount and mix that will help a person going through such suffering end their suffering in the most comfortable and painless way that it could be done. I mean, we put our pets down to end their suffering at the end of their lives, why not give sick people that choice too? And hey, maybe make a requirement a mental health screening and a consultation with a psychiatrist after that before being able to move on to the next step. But leaving it illegal, and making a criminal out of any doctor who does help a patient end their suffering if there are no medical options left for a doctor to recommend to that patient, that's just seems morally wrong to me. Seems like we have things quite backwards in this country, and those are far from being it. But we could at least start treating others with a little human dignity to begin with, then work from there.

This is really important. Until recently I didn't realize how life changing and deadly Crohn's disease is. My friend, a wonderful person, mom, wife, and friend has Crohn's and for her and many others it is really important to find better treatments and a cure! Please consider giving to this cause. This is in memory of Lawrence Wright, who passed away due to complications of this.

Hi Amy, I just read though your blog. It's really neat learning about other people who have EDS too. Your cats are darling, the tortis-shell one reminds me of one of our daughter's kitties.
My name is Sandi, I have EDS3 (and many accompanying illnesses as well), I'm 27, live in Missouri with my loving husband who has lung disease and chronic degenerative joint disease and our 6 (almost 7) year old daughter Autum.
I look forward to reading more of your blog through this next year. I hope 2015 brings you and your family much happiness and easier times.

Love,
Sandi

"For lesbians (and gay men) the issue goes beyond Dunham and her immense privilege to the very real accusations gay people face all the time about being child molesters because straight culture continues to conflate 'gay' and 'pedophile.' And Dunham’s assertion that her sister didn’t mind the abuse is something men always say about their victims–it’s an unconscionable statement to make or to demand one’s victim make."
