Please test and give feedback on a switch to Breeze Dark Plasma theme by default.

Nick Slobodsky: I like dark themes, but some applications are very bad with it. For example, some web pages change foreground to dark and leave default background. With dark theme it gives dark text on dark. Absolutely unreadable. The same problem exists in some Qt Assistant documtation.

Thiago Aderaldo: I would like to see only the task bar on a dark theme. And all the windows decorations in a light theme one.

Tomáš Myšík: I use it so, for several years now. No problem, really like it.

Chris Montgomery: Cow is an excellent emoji, Limited but it works :-)

Chris Montgomery: There is always a way to do anything in Linux, I just see no point in it so i am not about to spent time on it without a valid reason to have it. Sorry but you're kinda sounding like a troll now just digging for something that's not there for a reason. cant have it on a command line in Windows can you?

Saran Tanpituckpong (陳佳隆): +Chris Montgomery Emoji works very well in VSCode terminal on Windows.

I'm using eosrei/emojione-color-font for fully emoji support in Firefox. (As you suggest) (Maybe many users are using it) And it work partially for emoji character in other app.

I just ask for possibility in #Kubuntu ( #KDE ) natively. (Because I still prefer #Kubuntu )
Because I see #Gnome is going to supports color emoji. And it may work in #Ubuntu in the future.

Kubuntu 16.04 LTS gets an upgrade to KDE Plasma 5.8.8 LTS (and more).

The 8th bugfix update (5.8.8) of the Plasma 5.8 LTS series is now available for users of Kubuntu Xenial Xerus 16.04 to install via our Backports PPA. This update also includes an update for Krita to 3.3.2.1. To update, add the following repository to your software sources list: ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports.
