What is the weird purpose of posting lots of videos here that are private? Is this some kind of scam...?

I am giving up on Kubuntu 16.04 for Asus Zenbook UX305, as wi-fi broken, plasma frequently crashes, and after login, external monitor disappears. I'll try Kubuntu 16.10, see if better.

The Kubuntu team is excited and delighted to announce the release of Kubuntu 16.04 Xenial Xerus. 16_04-release-ss3-opt. This is the first release from the team since we became a completely volunteer group, just after the release of 15.10. Delivering an Long-Term Release (LTS) release is a superb ...

+Corrado Mella I had the same dual monitor problems even after migrating to Nouveau. It's Plasma that's broken.

I'll acknowledge it could be something about my hardware setup. However, the business-grade Dell Latitude E6530 works beautifully under 14.04. That says broken software, or a changed design that's immature.

Also, Plymouth password input for decryption of full encrypted disks is broken. Luckily, as a long time user I knew how to recognize what was happening and get around it but a novice would rightfully think their system was inaccessible. It's something to do with USB HID support broken in the ramdisk boot images but I couldn't fix it. And I shouldn't have to in an LTS release. Just one more little thing that says 16.04 is overly-ambitious and immature.

Edit:  I suspect Good things will come of the changes being introduced in 16.04, but like the first introduction of Plasma 4, this is a release that's best for most people to skip over until things settle and mature.

Today at 9:35PM UTC the Kubuntu Council approved Clive Johnston's application for becoming a Kubuntu Member. Clive has been around for a while now, helping Scarlett and Philip with the packaging and continuous integration, and his efforts have already made a huge difference.

I still have a strange dependency problem (which I hoped will be solved by switching to 16.10 beta). But it isn't.

I can not install anything based on KDEPIM because it complains that Akonadi-server bersion >= 1.8 is missing. I have 2 available versions of this package but none of them works.

A lot of applications have conficts with others. I believe it is cased by switching to KF5 while some apps still rely on KDE4 libraries.

Any idea what should I do?
