It appears the the lefthand button on my mouse has stopped working.  I think this one died of natural causes, but wow, what a prank that would be to pull on someone.

Awesome little story and some amazing images.  (Note for the squeamish  there is some violence against penguins.)

I had an amazing chocolate chip cookie baking accident yesterday that will probably forever change how I bake cookies.  First, I accidentally shorted the recipe oats.  This caused the cookies to flatten into a sprawling layer on the silicone sheets rather than stay together as cookies.  I took this out of the oven (thinking it was a failure) and set it aside. When I did this, the cookie layer was quite a bit thiner than the chocolate chips, and parts of it were crispy while other parts were still doughy. On a whim, after the cookie layer had cooled, I scooped it up, rolled it into balls, and stuck it back in the oven. The resulting cookies have a variegated texture and color and held their shape, probably because parts of the dough already had structure from the first bake.

I guess I don't understand why Q is a separate device rather than a killer app for Google TV.  Or why it doesn't seamlessly stream from both the cloud and other local devices.  Or why the amp isn't optional.  #premature.  I expect there is more software coming, but by the time that happens consumers (and developers) will have waved it goodbye (pun intended).

An optional amp would've been great. Most people probably only want/need HDMI out and just a regular audio jack. If you already have speakers that need an amp, you already have an amp. A smaller, cloud-based Google TV with "Air Play"-like support would've made more sense.

This article misses a key point.  They really need to directly compare Bond's reaction Sévérine's death to his reaction to a certain automobile's death.  For the record, Sean Connery would never have let that happen!

Dear Google+,  When I edit a limited share, why can I not expand who the post is shared with without re-sharing?  Re-sharing breaks the continuity of comments. Please fix.

If the issue is just that new people shouldn't see existing comments then fine, hide from Alice comments made before she was added and discretely toss a "Alice will see future comments on this share" into the comment stream.  Honestly, I think it is more reasonable to trust the original sharer with the privacy of the comments on the share.

Dear #news.google.com:  In following with your corporate mission to organize the world's information and make it generally useable, please learn how to detect and label "opinion" articles vs "news" articles.  This should not rely on metadata from sources as so many "reputable" news sources are labeling it all "news" these days.  It looks bad when the top highlighted "news" headline is actually an extremely partisan opine (from either persuasion) trying to pass itself off as news.
