I'm working on a new version of WebJCS. The code is more structured and easier to keep order of. It has been rewritten from scratch, as I didn't really like the old code. Not much features yet, just a tileset picker. Enjoy!

New version coming soon!
One of the new features are animated sprites in the Parallax View! You don't have to open JJ2 just to get a preview how it looks!

It got some features that the original editor don't have, for example longer helpstrings, nested animations, sprite and textured background previews (and collaboration ofc).
I haven't used the legacy editor in a very long time, WebJCS is fast enough on my laptop on localhost (I use Linux, running JCS in wine isn't the best experience).

I'm working on a new version of the editor (from scratch yes, the current one's code is ugly). Right now it's only a tileset viewer/tile renderer. Any help is appreciated!

Story

HTML5 level editor for the web (Jazz Creation Station)
Introduction
WebJCS is an open-source improved clone of JCS (Jazz Creation Station), running in your web browser. JCS was included with the game Jazz Jackrabbit 2 that was released in 1998. This improved clone is, without any reused code, fully compatible with the game. To run your levels, you need the game, as I have not yet made a HTML5 version of it.

WebJCS is using HTML5 features, such as Canvas, Typed Arrays, WebSockets (for realtime collaboration), semantic HTML and CSS3.
WebJCS requires to be hosted from a server, as browser JavaScript don't have access to the local filesystem or native modules such as Zlib.
The code behind WebJCS is almost written entirely by me, the exceptions are FileSaver.js, Node.JS and some node modules.
