This is the most consumer-unfriendly experience that I had in my 18 years in America. I lived in different cities and different states, and everywhere picking up my mail was resonably convenient. Now it looks like Post Office has put its customer inconvenience to a whole new level. To begin with, the mail has to be picked up 5 miles away from delivery address (and this is San Diego proper, not some rural address). Next, considering the working hours (9 to 4PM) - which means one would most likely has to take time from work for a trip to the post office (mine was 11 miles one way). And on top of that, this location is not marked for consumer access in any way. Initially, I found a post office on the same block as 10807 Vista Sorrento Pkwy and naturally assumed that this is my mail pick up location (what are the chances that there are two different post offices on the same block, huh?) Unfortunately, it was Saturday, and the office that I found was closed on weekends. Next Monday, I came to this office on my lunch time, but believe it or not - this office has lunch breaks! So I was stranded again. Biding my time at the closed doors, I read one message on the wall over and over again. It was stating, that mail pickup is at 10807 Vista Sorrento Pkwy. "Why phrase this message in such an odd way? " - I thought, - "This IS the 10807 Vista Sorrento Pkwy! Right? Or..." No! That was it. The post office that I found was actually at 3974 Sorrento Valley Blvd, and mail pickup was in the next building. If only that building had any useful signs! Next thing, I was walking to the right address. I still had interesting experience of going through the truck delivery gate and asking where I should be going, after all. But at least now there were some live people there to direct me around.

Mailed an envolpe prority mail 2 day. Traked the item 2 days later and it had just left the post office. Item finally made it to its destination a week later So much for paying extra to get it there faster. O and the post office will not give a refund because priority mail is not guaranteed. What a rip off. I will never us the post office for this again.

These people are under big pressure. The clientele is coming from many big office buildings around them. Location is very convenient for working people to drop their mail during lunch hour. I think they are doing best they can and it is much better than in neighbour countries. Some people do not know how lucky they are to have this good service.

I was waiting for check from Wells Fargo sending 3 weeks ago. Don't know where mail goes. Too many times, I don't get mail due to their mistake. No use even I complained.

Horrible hours. They are open 10-5 with a 1/2 lunch break. It would be better if they were open 7:30am or 8am and closed earlier. Not a customer friendly schedule for those who work M-F 8-5.

I have only seen 2 different employees here ever on my multiple visits to this location. Unfortunately, they're poised in the perfect spot for all the companies in Sorrento Valley to swing by with boatloads of boxes. With a tiny building and few people to help service customers, they're understandably swamped a majority of the time. That said, every time I've come I have been treated politely and respectfully. The lines get long yes, especially during December, and you might be upset about something or another, but seriously, come in with a pleasant attitude and it will surely be reciprocated.

DON'T BE FOOLED!!!!! This is a mail-sorting building. There are no retail services. There is a helpful sign on what appears to be the front door that says "sorry, you have to walk 3/4 of the way around the building to get in". Then when you get there, there is a sign that says "we don't help people here". This should not be listed as a post office in the first place.
