Introduction
Ron was born in 1941 and raised in San Francisco. He lived on Bernal Heights, in the The Mission, and in Noe Valley. A graduate of James Lick Jr.High and Mission High he also attended Polytechnic High School for two years. He played baseball and the trombone while in high school. Due to a problem at Poly Ron transferred in his senior year to Mission High and graduated from there in January 1959. The Mission High band which Ron now played for played the SF Giants welcome parade in 1958 on the back of a flatbed truck.
