Add this to my list of reasons for not visiting Forbes.com:
-----------

Dear Jim,

My name is [REDACTED], and between 2011 and 2015 I wrote a blog for Forbes.com which was very successful. I was dismissed by Forbes last May, and one of the reasons is because Kerry Dolan, the magazine’s editor, thinks it was me who leaked to your blog an information about a pay cut for Forbes contributors. Here’s the link to what you wrote: http://jimromenesko.com/2015/03/25/forbes-tells-contributors-they-wont-get-paid-as-much-for-visits-to-older-content/
This is something that has always bothered me, because you are the only person who knows for sure that I didn’t leak anything. I actually had never heard of your blog until Kerry told me about you. Sorry about that. I am reaching out to you to ask if you could possibly contact Kerry and tell her that it wasn’t me. I’m not asking you to tell her who leaked the information, but please just tell her it wasn’t me.

She thinks it was me and that’s not fair.

-------

NOTE TO KERRY DOLAN: THIS PERSON DIDN'T LEAK TO ME.
Forbes tells contributors they won't get paid as much for visits to older content. Forbes contributors were told Tuesday that their pay will be cut for visits to content that's more than 90 days old, because “advertisers are increasingly buying premium ads for new content, not old.” ...

It has come to our attention that the graphic in question [published last Friday] not only has a disconnect to the article it was created to work with, but it also unintentionally features offensive and stereotypical elements that misrepresent African American students.

Introduction
I founded MediaGossip.com in 1999. The Poynter Institute acquired the domain name, then hired me to run its MediaNews site. When MediaNews Group chain issued a cease-and-desist order, my page was changed to ROMENESKO. I left Poynter in late 2011 and now run JimRomenesko.com, as well as StarbucksGossip.com.

I'm @romenesko on Twitter.
