For almost 20 years, the best children's store anywhere. The owner is truly committed to serving customers, and he and his staff will spend time to help you get the just the right stroller, baby carrier, gift, toy, or book. They know their stuff and choose well, and avoid the violent and heavily commercialized products in most children's stores. They are also price-competitive, so don't think you need to go to ToysRUs or something similar to get top brands at good prices. We started going here when our daughter was a baby, and now that she's in college, we go here for presents for our friends' babies and young children. Where else can you go and ask a staff person "what could I get for a 5-year-old boy who likes ..." and get several thoughtful and affordable answers?

Truly a lovely bookstores experience. Interesting staff recommendations, nice browsing layout, lots of cards and gift choices. They will order anything for you and it arrives quickly. Really, buy your books here instead of ordering online ... support a local business and enjoy looking around and discovering something new.

Hands down our favorite restaurant, the place we tend to measure others against. Top quality menu mixes classics and innovative items (the pork chop is sublime), seasonal items offer the best of local farm and ranch offerings. The wait staff are extremely knowledgeable, the hosts/hostesses very welcoming. Seats overlooking the saute station are extremely entertaining. Bartenders can do anything for you, and you can eat the full menu at the bar or hang out while you wait for your table.

Classic and terrific. Handmade ice cream, innumerable sundae options, and nice burgers and fries. It can be a bit loud, thus is very nice for larger group (they have a back room you can reserve, I believe) and families with kids. Long waits on weekend evenings but they have a system that keeps things moving.

A long-time favorite which pioneered the small plates of French food style. Pommes frites are beyond delicious, mussels in Pernod are wonderful, and they clearly take the French inspiration for the menu very seriously, providing authentic dishes, well prepared. Excellent wine lists and flights. Can be fairly busy, table out back on the covered (and heated) patio are quieter.

A longtime favorite, where my husband and I went on our second date, and we still go there almost 30 years later. One of the first places I had Mediterranean food in the US, and the sampler plate is still a favorite. Busy and often crowded, it still always seems festive and fun, and the outdoor tables can be very nice as well.

Delicious food, excellent sangira and wines, alluring atmosphere make you feel like you're in Barcelona, or how I'd imagine it might be. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, indoor and out door tables, in a nice, walkable area.
