Because hippos are the best!
Scientists at +UC Santa Barbara, +UC Berkeley and +Princeton University sample #water , #fish  and insects along the Ewaso Ng'iro River to find the importance of #hippo  dung as a #food  source for creatures in #African  rivers. With populations of #hippos  down 20 percent in recent decades, the work underscores the need for #conservation  work to protect the large beasts.
