Introduction
Somehow it seems destiny that since I spend so much of my free time shopping online, I end up in a career helping designers create websites to sell their products online. So as an end user / user tester / creator of ecommerce.... I'm pretty much in heaven!!

With the advent of technology, information is readily available in the web space to anyone who requests it. Information is even pushed to these people, given their preferences of what they want to receive. The consumer has the power to receive and filter information, and I think this is very powerful knowledge that ecommerce companies should digest. How do I reach out to my consumers given their preferences, without abusing that privilege that might turn them away? This is one basic question that ecommerce companies, be it from fashion or not, should ask.

Before starting a website design project and that includes starting a new one or revamping an existing one, the list here is comprehensive enough to know your partners in this kind of project. You also need to have balance of content and of ease of usage of the website, especially for ecommerce websites. Defining of what you actually want can be a starting point, and how you envision your company would is something that should guide you along the way.
As a web design and web development firm, Confluent Forms LLC has responded to quite a few Requests for Proposals (RFP), seen hundreds as they've passed through the RFP Database, helped organizations such as the American Soci...

In every business, creativity should always be there. It is not only about the design, but also on how you present your services or items, how people find the information and how you are able to reach out to your existing and potential clients. This is true especially to fashion ecommerce businesses, wherein the website has to have these essential ecommerce website features, but at the same time integrating CRM in order to reach out to new customers and maximize existing clients.

Fashion ecommerce websites are finding ways on how to drive traffic to the landing page and keep visitors engaged and eventually lead to purchases. However, most of the points raised in this article are true where in online communities are rejecting ecommerce websites because of revenue generating trap. This is a great read to make us think on how to re-position ourselves better.
Last two years marked an exponential growth for social networking sites across the world, gaining momentum from the early boost they had in the year 2007. Facebook alone accumulated over 350 million by end of 2009, of which the last 100 million came up just within few months.

When companies in the similar industry join forces, this means that they are combining resources and intelligence and have economies of scale. However, it also poses threat to smaller companies or start ups. This happened when a few fashion ecommerce websites joined forces in order to have economies of scale, but it became tough for smaller companies due to competition and ability to provide features at a lower cost.

This is pretty interesting especially coming from an ecommerce company. Ranking in the internet is very important for a company especially for a company that heavily relies on the internet to drive its business. Fashion Ecommerce is one of those businesses that need to have creative ways to drive traffic to its webpages. It can be a function of content, pricing and referrals.

Ecommerce websites, especially fashion ecommerce websites, really need to put traffic as their top priority. And website traffic comes from various sources, and one of which is thru social media. Twitter has proven to be very effective in doing so, but before you get into the bandwagon of twitter, you need to generate great and valuable content in order to increase your twitter followers. And this is like the chicken and the egg situation.
Twitter is a great place to do business, if you follow some simple best practices.  Twitter has done a nice job of outlining core advice on the subject in their welcome center: For more great info on best practices for busine...

When working on designer eboutiques, it is important to understand your website traffic through web analytics. I think it is important that your website and CRM are incorporated and intertwined with one another. When a customer visits your site and browses through your various pages, you should be able to capture this activity. This is one of the essential features that designers should focus on.
