Still the best ribs I have ever tasted, even over the ones I have had in Memphis and Kansas City. The in house chips are a great addition. It's a sport like atmosphere with all the Cincinnati memorabilia and a prime location in Montgomery. They are still over priced, but you're paying for the name I'd imagine.

As I read the current reviews for Montgomery Inn, it brings back a recollection of my last (and final) experience with that venerable establishment. The adjectives "overrated" and "inconvenient" come to mind. My last experience was at the Montgomery site and involved poor communication, under capacity, poor management, excessive waiting and underwhelming food. This restaurant seems to believe that its ribs entrees are worth the wait and inconvenience that many endure when going there. For my purposes, I would rather a restaurant simply tell people the truth about the wait and allow the patron to choose. Instead, like your worst airline delay (restaurant style), the staff kept nudging us to wait longer and longer. Then, after a change of staff, they lost track of our names and we went back to the "end of the line" to wait even longer. When we finally ate, the food was NOT WORTH IT FOLKS. Since then, I have learned that this restaurant's legend for great food is just that--a legend, which is certainly not confirmed by any experience of mine. There are plenty of other restaurants whose service is up to par with foods much more to my liking. So, if they can keep up the legend, good for them. Are you going to believe them or your own good sense?

The ribs are very very good. But this place is overrated and a little over hyped.

This would be Ron Swanson's favorite restaurant. Very traditional meat and potatoes fare, from a BBQ perspective. The pulled pork sandwich was very saucy without being liquidy, and excellent. The ribs were fine, nothing particularly interesting, but very tasty. Not a lot of gluten-free options, a few dairy-free options.

a cincinnati tradition. the ribs are wonderful, but no they're not bbq ribs. they never said they were. great service and a fun atmosphere that anyone passing through cincinnati should try, especially since this is the original location. even though it didn't start out taking up most of the city block.

I was born and raised in this town and this restaurant treats everyone like family. Food is outstanding and the service is still sharp.
