I want to like Super Linda more. The food was good, the service was good, the atmosphere was trendy enough. But somehow it was slightly off - the crowd was strange and the bar downstairs an empty ghost town (it was a Tuesday, but still, this is NYC). Don't get me wrong, if you are in need of a guacamole or margarita fix, it's a great place to drop in. And I could have just been there on an off night. But I'm looking for a more upbeat vibe in a latin fare restaurant...

I went to Super Linda on Friday night with my wife and another couple. We had a blast. There was an extensive margarita menu, with everything from Sage to Celery in the margs. The appetizers were tasty, and great for sharing. We had the empenadas, guacamole, and the croquetas, and the croquetas seemed to be the table favorite. I got the chicken, which was well cooked and flavored to my liking. I think my friends got scallops, a whole branzino, and the veggie lasagna. Everyone enjoyed all the food, drinks, and attentive staff. Can't wait to go back and try some of the other entrees, and apps, and different flavored margs.

I love the location and decor of this TriBeCa restaurant, but wasn't thrilled with the rest of the experience. The menu is somewhat limiting, especially for those that prefer to eat healthy. The appetizers were good, but the food overall felt uninspired.

I can only review the food here although I recently found out there is a cool-looking basement bar with a horse racing theme! This is my personal favourite Latin restaurant in NYC, offering a simple menu of South American staples and salads in generous portions at solid prices. Special menus for lunch and dinner offer great value and the food is consistently tasty. Inside is a strange mix of American diner-style seating on one side and cool lounge on the other. In fact to look in the window you would never know the latter existed. There is a take-out window but beware, wait times can be long during busy periods.

Interesting menu and very good food. The soups and salads are particularly good. Great for lunch. Can be noisy in the evening.

For those of us with a soft taco addiction, this is the place! Delicious fish tacos, and other interesting fillings- pastrami! - at a reasonable price on a corner with terrific people watching outside the floor to ceiling windows.
