- heart breaking moment is when you find out 85% of their business is via phone (as is most) and they use a single inbound number and ask outdated questions: did you hear about us from (sales team, brochures, fax newsletter, yellowpages, mailouts, carrier pigeons or random obscure source). Often only one in a few staff will actually bother to track offline sales unless it's a KPI and often then will get multiple responses and pick what ever one suits them.
