I rarely blog anymore; but I think today's subject deserves special recognition.  It is a program started by the Son's of the American Revolution and generously supported by Ancestry.com to provide Genealogical research opportunities to the military's Wounded Warriors.  I had the good fortune to participate in the program at Balboa Naval Hospital and it was a heartwarming and wonderful experience.

Today in my blog I cover the final day of RootsTech 2014 and share some of my impressions.  I am glad I came; but will probably be satisfied next year with just attending Jamboree in Burbank.

Today I blogged about Day Two at RootsTech in Salt Lake City.  I enjoyed it better than day one.  Perhaps I did a better job of selecting which presentations to attend!

Today's blog is about my first day in Salt Lake.  I arrived two days early to allow some time for research at the Family History Library.  Didn't make any great breakthroughs; but added a few pieces of data that are new.

Since I will be attending RootsTech, advertised to be the largest genealogical conference in the U.S., I have decided to blog about it starting with today.  I hope to share some impressions and photos of the exhibit hall and interesting attendees.

I gave up regular blogging about 10 days ago; but had an experience over the Thanksgiving holiday that I just had to write about.  It details the type of good fortune all genealogists aspire to experience.

Today's blog is about my memories of JFK's assassination and about letters in my possession to my great grandfather explaining how his brother was shot and killed in a gunfight near Sundance, Wyoming.  Ironically, this happened in the same time era as the criminal exploits of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
