Today's project. Sam wanted to make a real VR headset out of paper. His big brother has a gear VR. He actually drew a stereo picture on the back paper and gave it some depth so he could focus on the picture! I helped with tape and scissors since he is 6. #SmartDude #GhettoVR

I just read the funniest quote from an HR firm to an HR representative... I guess the guy that wrote this is going into politics :)

"Engineering is using the IRS methodology to create a calculation algorithm."

LOL

The beginning of the end if you're not studying AI and Deep Learning.
DeepCoder builds programs using code it finds lying around

Like all great programmers I get most of my code from StackOverflow questions. Can’t figure out how to add authentication to Flask? Easy. Want to shut down sendmail? Boom. Now, thanks to all the code on the Internet, a robot can be as smart as a $180,000 coder. The system, called DeepCoder, basically searches a corpus of code to build a project that works to spec. It’s been used to complete programming competitions and could be pointed at a larger set of data to build more complex products.

Did NASA find another planet capable of sustaining life? Tune in tomorrow to find out....

It's interesting that Nikole K. Lewis (http://www.stsci.edu/~nlewis/) joins the talk as her speciality is in classifying exo-planet atmospheric conditions...

This is one of the best examples of wireless power I've seen. Imagine what this will be like in 5 years.

An Assassin's Creed hidden blade for Sam. It's not 3D Printed. It didn't take a lot of engineering. Sometimes you just gotta sit down with a few popsicle sticks and figure it out. Even wrapped the "blade" in some aluminum tape for effect! It uses a single spring and notch for its firing mechanism.
