Hello Google+! This is my first post in a while and will be my last.
I've made the decision to step away from this place, delete my Facebook page, and drastically alter the way I use Instagram and Twitter. I need more time for photography and, well, life.
If you haven't done so already, please sign up for my newsletter! You can find the link in the sidebar in this post explaining my decision:

It's great to see the progress made on Ile A Vache, Haiti, since I was last there in 2015!

It's been almost three years since I went to Ile A Vache, Haiti to help construct a poultry facility and work on a primary school. I haven't been able to return since then, but the non-profit director has some photos and updates to share with us!

I heard there was a football game last night? That explains why there was no one else around for this.

Fujifilm X-T1 handheld at 1/15 sec & 55mm. That's pretty impressive.

New Tube: This Mavic Air #drone range test is unlike any of the other videos you'll find on the topic.

YouTube creators couldn't wait to get their hands on the new DJI Mavic Air and do a range test to see how far it can fly within radio range. I've made my own video about these drone range tests, but it's quite a bit different from the others.

It's been a month now since I downgraded from a "fancier" Sony mirrorless to a "less capable" #Fujifilm mirrorless.
The downgrade was actually an upgrade for me (notwithstanding a few complaints), and I'll have a post out soon explaining the how & why.

Photography in cold, snowy weather is a completely different beast than during those warm summer days. This short list contains the most important winter photography tips to remember when you venture out with your camera during those months.

If you missed it last month:
Big changes to the blog and social media channels starting this year. It's all outlined in this post, but in summary, I've got to start putting 100% effort into one topic instead of 33% effort into 3 topics.
Hope it all makes sense!

Big changes in the YouTube Partner Program. Don't stop creating!

Are you a small YouTube channel? Some significant changes were made to the YouTube Partner Program that probably affects you, and these changes have been met with a lot of criticism. I personally think these changes are good, and here's why.

Machu Picchu is one of the many places on Earth being inundated by tourism faster than the infrastructure can keep up with. So when you go (and you should), make sure you do so responsibly!

DJI just ruined my week with the announcement of the Mavic Air:

I was getting really excited about scheduling a post about the revelation the small DJI Spark would be better for me than the Mavic Pro. Seriously, like the day of, DJI announces a new drone that turns it all upside down.
