In 2 years with the Zoe,I have used NI airports (LDY,BFS,BHD) and driven to them, but never yet to DUB..I had family arriving for a cousin's wedding that I offered to help pick up and went for it..I hadn't planned on rapid charging on the way down..no rapids stood out as available en route (more on that..) From Enniskillen I went to Cavan.the first charger was out of action, but was directed to a second nearby that was fine near the GAA pitch. The N3 route is part Motorway toll road,so, smooth and effortless.Navan has a rapid at a petrol station in town..AC wasn't working.Plugshare showed a town centre car park with a 22kW post..went for coffee and stretched my legs.I'm aware of a rapid at the airport, but hear it gets hogged by Taxis..got to Terminal 2 short stay multistorey which has a bank of slow chargers available..plugged in and went to the terminal..flight delayed..Was over 50% on the way again heading for the charger equipped Applegreen services on the M1 Northbound..Lusk has a Rapid (Good!) Castlebellingham has a 22kW(oh,well..) on the other hand, see the photo..charged enough here to reach The Ballygawley park and ride, which gave enough to get home via Omagh..a Success, but more rapids on those main routes would improve things..charging time wasn't important on the way down, but I was surprised at the slower unit on the M1..Pleased Zoe made the trip no bother...

Not an issue for Zoe,but the DC rapid located in the Mellon Hotel outside of Omagh is currently unavailable.. The hotel went Into receivership and the car park gates are padlocked, barring entry, unless someone has ramps to get over a couple feet of a kerb!

A couple of ECar related apps to check out..Chargebump,and Plugshare.
Some will leave their phone details when they leave a car charging so they can be contacted. Some are wary of giving the number out...Chargebump is an EV registry service..No need for a phone #..download and sign up for the app, enter the car Reg,and they'll get a ping someone is in need of the charger with options to respond with a preset message when (or if) you'll be back...
Plugshare has 2 functions..it enables you to offer your home charger to others in need, and it offers real time operational status on a charger when someone uses the app to check in..you can state how long you'll be there, upload photos for accuracy in finding it..there's even a journey planning tool that'll show en route chargers..

Thankfully I haven't encountered many issues with ICEing (North of the Border,anyway..) Got to RC11 the other evening with 12 miles remaining and find another Zoe on charge..No driver..not a Chargebump user. The dash display was lit,so could see they were over 90% when I arrived..Waited 30 minutes while it went to 100% and nobody returned..Ended up going to the NIR Car park unit  not far away to get on my way..
if a 22kW Charger can fill a Zoe in an hour, there's no reason to go off and Leave one on a rapid unattended! (rant over..)

SC69 in Castlederg failed to charge again resulting in a BCI error earlier..I've now had my Zoe just over a Year (and 9300 trouble free miles!) and in that time managed ONE successful charge here in May this year..
Reported, and went through all the reset options the helpline had with no success..

Ecars announcing new chargers being rolled out..some connected but not as yet commissioned..see the ecar website or their FB page for info..
