Think I need to start adding a few more building types to my Model-Uni game. I'm starting to worry for Jimmy's mental health...

Started work on a new university simulation game. Currently more of a path builder tycoon, but the engine is starting to take shape :D

Interactive Stroy Card Dashboard

Hello,

I've recently been working on creating an interactive story card dashboard that agile teams can use to track/manage there work. The system is designed to be hugely customisable (different workflows, fields, statuses, layouts etc) and talk to whatever data-stores/authentication providers the owner wants it to.

My big problem with it is though that i'm not a designer by any stretch so I'm really looking for any advice/criticisms or comments people are willing to offer. Feel free to be brutal.

You can checkout a live demo here: http://userbag.co.uk/demo/storycard/
Or grab the code from github here: https://github.com/thybag/Story-Card

Thanks,
Carl

As someone who's not a big fan of Unity (or the direction gnome seems to be going) I decided to spend a few hours fiddling with some of the alternatives, namely LXDE.

Although its a little rough around the edges to start, with a little tweaking it can actually be turned in to a pretty nice desktop environment - complete with both a dock and a decent start menu.

The second part of my "Making HTML5 games by someone who knows nothing about games" series is now out.

The new tutorial will take you from the point of moving a triangle around a screen, right up to a browser based tank battle between yourself and the evil slug monsters.

I'd very much appreciated any feedback and hope this helps :)
