Sadly found that we are down to one hive. Two early winter kills and one just in the past few weeks. Uncertain as to causes no apparent infestations or issues of starvation. Beekeeping is hard on my soft mushy bee loving heart :(

A lovely rendition of what's been on repeat in my head today. Looking forward to Christmas Eve service and the music tonight.

I have exceptionally sad children this morning thanks to Lego Corp's decision to shut down the Lego Universe MMO. Looking for alternatives that are suitable/interesting for ages 6 to 12 so that the kids can potentially try to salvage some of the in-game relationships. Or at least have opportunity to try. Geek parents and gamers thoughts and suggestions appreciated. Dammit Lego made me make my kids cry - for them it's the equivalent of WOW being turned off!

My kids prefer Minecraft over pretty much everything else. It's won awards because of it's dynamic and creative nature. I'll admit that I don't get it myself, but I'm not minded in that way. They are and love it. They're even starting to play and network with the kids of my online friends.
