I can relate to this post on so many levels. We are far from the maple leaves I grew up raking and stuffing into bags - but the birds around our boat here in CA expel something akin to concrete. And it appears that a freshly washed boat is their favorite target. I console myself, while scrubbing, with the reflection of blue sky in the shine of the cognac colored teak varnish. I think it was Thoreau who said "It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see. " Here's to reflections of the sky, and light refracting through water drops.
