Oh, Look, a New Old Blog
Hey there. It's been a while. I have two kids now and we live in a completely different state. But you know all of that, because if you're reading this you either already know me or you are one of our AI bot overlords and you already know everything. Well, ...

Oh. My. Gosh. My blood sugar spiked just reading this recipe. If anyone wants to get me something to celebrate the end of my gestational diabetes in a few weeks...

And I just had my last pelvic of the pregnancy this morning, darn it. Guess I'll have to save some of these for the next pregnancy.

Ultrasound, once we finally got to it, was okay. Baby is growing and moving well and even practicing her breathing like a champ. D-Day still on for next Friday!

Naturally my OB appointment mysteriously dropped off the schedule on an ultrasound day, meaning a very bored Lizzie and a very tense I'm-going-to-be-late-for-work Lee are stuck here with me.

Latest update to my Google+ app is obnoxious. It's now insisting on filtering "What's Hot" posts into my stream like spam. As far as I can tell, there's no way to turn it off. I had to create a new circle with everyone I've already circled in it (which is how the simple All Circles option used to work) just to keep the spam out if my stream. Annoying.

Why do all the social networking sites keep trying to tell me what I should care about? I really don't want to have to sort through wannabe clever quotes by pseudo celebrities I've never heard of while trying to keep up with the people I'm actually following. Not cool, Google.

Hmmmm... I may have just baited someone else's mom in a Facebook comment. There's something seriously wrong with me, isn't there?

There's a commercial I've seen several times and I have the same reaction every time: Wow, an Olive Garden commercial featuring food that doesn't even remotely tempt me. How weird. I always have crazy Olive Garden cravings when I see their commercials.

Turns out it's a Red Lobster commercial. Not sure why I think it's an Olive Garden commercial every time it comes on, but it fools me every time. Something about the lighting maybe?

Regardless, I don't think this change in advertising is a good thing for Red Lobster. One the one hand, the commercial immediately makes me think I'm about to be tempted beyond reason by delicious food. On the other hand, the food they do show doesn't tempt me at all and overall the ad actually leaves me feeling quite disappointed.
