Great unique place. Surprised to see spicy duck wings on the same menu as Mac n Cheese. Good portions, nice place for a date or group.

Great spot for southern/soul food. The portions are really big, so take that into consideration when ordering. They have great cocktails and definitely get the corn bread. If you go on Sunday or Monday, they have a solid fried chicken dinner. They only take reservations for big groups, so there can be a bit of a wait on the weekends.

I've been here 3 times, twice for brunch and once for dinner. I am not a big fan of brunch, which is typically full of buttery breakfast foods, but I'm a big fan of Brooklyn Star's Chicken and Waffles. The fried chicken is nearly the perfect fried chicken, and the waffles are decent. The cinnamon roll in a mini cast-iron skillet is also good. This place is very popular and your party has to be complete before sitting. The last time I ate here, the latecomers of our large group had to wait and watch us savor the food in front of their eyes.

Sub par. Bartender was very friendly, but cocktails weren't anything to go for. I ordered the pancakes and pork belly, after having to wait 45 mins because they don't serve brunch at the bar until noon. Only in NYC, and at sub-par places have I seen this practice. If you set up your reservations, and host correctly, you can serve your entire restaurant, which means more money for your business. Back to the meal, the pancakes were gritty and cold and the pork belly was burnt and tough. Pork belly should be soft, fatty, juicy. I didn't bother bartender about my meal because it is out of his control. This restaurant really needs to focus on preparing and serving better food.

Amazing place for dinner. Every bite of buttery goodness melted in my soul. That cornbread. Damm!

This is an easy one. Everything here is great. A friend of mine lives on the block and this place is a staple. I have tried mostly everything and have never been disappointed. Personal favorites are the pig tails, the bone marrow, and the mac and cheese appetizers. The wine selection is great and the cocktails are great. Service has always been fantastic.
