Clearly Google wanted my photos to be more festive, because the actual snowfall wasn't enough.   :D

Useful info, but I would've liked to see the workspace.

Whenever I try to check my G+ notifications (the bell icon next to the new apps icon) in Gmail, the menu pulls down but gets stuck on "opening" if there are any notifications to be seen. If there are none, it loads properly and tells me I'm all caught up.

This issue only applies to my Gmail, as I can access the menu without issue via my Calendar, Drive and G+. I'm using the teahouse theme in my Gmail and Calendar, if that makes any difference.

Is anyone else having this issue, or am I just lucky?

This dealership will treat you well. They're professional in every way, and yet you'll be like a member of the family. I was in a car accident, which is a very stressful thing anyway, and to make it worse, it was my first. Even though it was in Lansing, I had my car towed all the way to Gene Butman to have it fixed. Don in the body shop and the rest of the crew do amazing work, and they'll be very honest with you about what needs to be done, what should be done, and what can be left for later, etc. Very honest, and very good work. In my case, I was worried about my insurance company bullying me about costs. Don dealt with them for me, ensuring my car got everything it needed. It was a huge relief! Right now I'm in the process of moving to Toronto...and I think I'm still going to take my car to Gene Butman when I'm in town...

Let me preface this by saying I went to the Aveda Institute in East Lansing, Michigan for five years, then went to Zele Aveda salon in Koshigaya, Japan for four years before going to this Aveda for about a year. I love Aveda and their salons. Compared to the other two, the reception is about the same, but the quality of the service is lacking. I've had my appointment shifted around and messed up several times, leaving my appointment too short to be successful. I've had the students tell me they know what my cut is when I show them photos (of me with the cut I want) and explain it, then they do something completely different. Once I even had a student try to send me home before the instructor even checked her work! My color was consistently incorrect so I started doing it on my own at home...it wasn't worth the money. After about a year of this nonsense, I got the worst haircut I've ever gotten, so I've finally given up on it and don't intend to return. It may be students, but my services would still cost $120+ and for that price, no way.

I went today as more or less a walk-in (called just before driving over to make sure it wasn't crowded), and the service was top notch. As soon as I walked in I was offered my choice of tea/coffee/water, and of course jumped on the fantastic Aveda herbal tea. My appointment was with Antoinette and she was lovely; very helpful and clearly very experienced at her craft. My intention was for the appointment to be a one time thing (my usual Aveda is the Institute downtown), but honestly I enjoyed the speed, atmosphere and professionalism of this salon far more. Will definitely be going back and recommending it to anyone who will listen. :)
