Might I note that there appears to be a typo in your article regarding anti-reflective coatings. Early in the article you use the term index of refraction when it appears to me that what you are discussing is the index of "reflection." The index of refraction does not, in general, have any real  effect on the reflective properties of the glass. It simply measures the angle at which light is bent when it passes through a lens.

Google says they'll make Google Glass available for prescription wearers later this year. It will be interesting to see whether multifocal wearers will be able to adapt to them, but I'm willing to try out the single-vision version. Sounds pretty cool!

Help! I have AMD and also idiopathic chronic pancreatic insufficiency and malabsorption. Because I do not absorb things normally, it is more important for me to know the optimum blood levels for zeaxanthin and leutin, than to know the "recommended dosage". But I have scoured the internet looking for the blood levels achieved in the AREDS studies, all to no avail! Can anyone help me?

Parag,  get your optometrist to fit her with some daily contact lenses. If she only uses them for swimming and disposes of them correctly, she shouldn't have a problem. Regards
