The BCH team held a party last night to celebrate a successful year, and to recognise the hard work and dedication of everyone in the Company.

The party was held at The Riverside in Whitworth, where we enjoyed celebratory drinks, delicious food and even a BCH Cake!

We were delighted that Previous owners Tony Coates and his wife Christine joined in the fun, they were instrumental maintaining the long history of BCH, running the Company for many years and building The Innovation And Manufacturing Centres.

We are lucky to have such a great team, with many of the workforce starting as apprentices, learning essential process, engineering and controls/automation skills. Subsequently becoming long-term valuable members of BCH.

It was great to see our assistance with BBC Two - The Sweet makers finally be screened last week on the Victorian age episode of confectionery production.
Lots of machinery and methods were shown that we still have in our archives today.
We often receive communications from budding confectioners around the world who have BCH drop rollers, coating pans and cooling tables.

We have just completed our pre-delivery inspection and testing of a 1000Kg Pressure Cooking & Vacuum Cooling System for one of our long-standing customers in South Africa.

The system is capable of both atmospheric and pressure cooking a wide range of soups, sauces and savoury fillings over a wide spectrum of product types.

The customer will benefit from high performance vacuum cooling taking the product temperature down to less than 4°C within 30-45 minutes, a faster and more efficient solution than conventional methods.

There is also the facility for slurry make up/addition and the system is totally controlled by our proven FLEXICHEF PLC controlled system with office based recipe and reporting facilities.

Our engineers will shortly be travelling to the site to supervise the installation, followed by commissioning and training.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to visit our stand and learn more about our Micro Extrusion Line and Confectionery systems, we were also pleased to receive some great feedback for our newly designed logo and brochures.

We had nearly 200 visitors over the seven days from 20 different countries - it was a pleasure to see both old and new faces.

The team will be in contact shortly if they haven't already to assist with all the enquiries received at the show.

We are pleased to announce our Japanese agent is exhibiting on our behalf at forthcoming FOOMA show in Tokyo next month, then our next stop is Gulfood Manufacturing in Dubai in October. We hope to see many of you there.

Happy Easter from us of us at BCH!

BCH have had an excellent run up the Easter Break with lots of activity.

A number of major contracts were recently awarded including a vacuum cooling project for supplier to one of the UK’s top supermarkets, Multiple FlexiChef cooking systems for a ready meal manufacturer in Australia, plus additional sauce cooking equipment for an international restaurant chain.

Our service department have been very busy in South Africa supporting a number of existing clients and Eastern Europe.

The ongoing investment strategy has seen the recent arrival of 2 Amada CNC cutting and forming machines to support the Laser to provide us with additional manufacturing capabilities.

Have a lovely Easter break!
