by April Schoen with Tonya Wells Southeast Graduates Are Challenging Social Issues and Changing Lives Ten minutes. That’s the goal. It’s such a short amount of time, but almost anything could happen in 10 minutes. Only 10 minutes to get on scene, get back in the truck and get back on the road. That is, if everything goes as planned. THE EMT For Brad Basler, emergency medical technician at Cape County Private Ambulance and a 2009 Southeast grad...

Wonderful campus. Professors who care about your learning experience. Not too many students. Great president who stays in touch with the students. A lot of international students. Just Chartwells food is terrible and can definitely be improved. Besides that, there is so much fast food but not many healthy options.

my time here was terrible!!!! This university only cares about MONEY. Their communication is off and caused me to have to leave 2 weeks into the semester and trying to charge me 6k for a semester i couldn't complete because of them and their communication! I'm in the military and Instead of Semo having a representative from finical services call me they had veteran affairs call me with completely no idea of what was going on or why they were told to call. Worst decision of my life was going to this school.

SAFETY is a huge issue here. As a parent, reconsider sending your student here. I have two students at SEMO. The first problems started in 2014 and had issues off campus (living 1 block away). His home was FORCED ENTRY for theft at night while the boys were sleeping. The next year, everyone who lived in the house had their TIRES SLASHED...7 vehicles in all. My other son lives on campus. In 2015, his dorm mates were ROBBED AT GUNPOINT of their cell phones and laptops while walking. The same month, his car windows were completely broke out and vehicle VANDALIZED. Three weeks later, his parked car was impacted (HIT & RUN) with such force that it moved the car to the sidewalk. The most disturbing is the schools attitude and willingness to do so little to assure safety of the students.

The university is there for learning and education and that is exactly what I received. I had great, caring professors who always made themselves available. Friendly campus and friendly students. Yes, money was and is an issue as it continues to increase. But I was always told you get what you pay for. SEMO provides a well-rounded educational and social experience. It's up to the student to maximize his/her college career.

This school only cares about money, but they can't seem to invest it wisely. Teachers are hit or miss on whether or not they are passionate about teaching in general. The entire town is not very safe or lively to begin with.

The physical infrastructure of the university is good and really managed well but as far as concerned to the international student, opportunity are very limited for this international center of this university should take initiation. As I am the international student and I am paying a fee to this university and country, I should have right to utilized the facility as like other in certain terms and condition but here no opportunity. The people of international center who are working there they don't understand the feeling of international student, they are like a jerk people with immaturity and inexperienced as well as not friendly. As far as I know this university is undergraduate university and the graduate course in this university specially in science department is very poor not research based. the major course that they put and tought is handle by only one professor throughout the year. Like other university in US the science course must be research based specially in environmental science as it is full research based. I found the course is useless where i cannot make my career when i returned back to my home country. I had experienced variety of course in environmental field when i was in Nepal with that expectation I joined this university but with that course the available course here is useless. Reorganization of this university for international student is not so good because every semester student take transfer to other university why the college administration does not take any action and initiation? I think university is money minded, the information written in I-20 about tuition and cost its so high in real and so many hidden cost. Many international student are working on campus employment, according to the rule student can work 20 hrs per week but here student are working more than 48 hours per week where is the concerned for this? I will not recommend to this university for my friend because of lack off opportunity in employment, unfriendly behavior of international center as well as department.
