For some reason Western media seems incapable of depicting individuals in the developing world as precisely that: individuals. Individuals with their own lives, thoughts, dreams and motivations. Every recent Hollywood movie I can think of set in Africa (with the exception of Hotel Rwanda) is the story of a white protagonist with the natives serving as backdrop, and the African males depicted in these movies seem to come in only two flavours: villain or victim. As this video gets across, all of us need to recognise that other people are people, not stereotypes.
