From 6th April, HMRC will no longer verify subcontractors over the phone. If you're an agent and you haven't already done so, you will need to register with HMRC to get authorisation in order to verify online (via Payroll Manager) for your clients - for more details click https://www.gov.uk/guidance/payecis-for-agents-online-service - if you do need to apply for authorisation, we would suggest applying before April as it may take a couple of weeks for HMRC to action.
