Set in a restored 1913 bungalow, Cibo (pronounced "CHEE-boh") has hardwood floors, exposed brick, a stained-glass panel and a fireplace to set the mood while revitalizing the downtown Phoenix area with beautiful salads, antipasto, artisanal pizzas and housemade fresh pasta.

This place has a great menu and a great wine selection. I think one of my favorite things about this place is their evening atmosphere. They light up all the trees and the inside is dimmed for a truly romantic or calming setting. Love this place every time I go.

CIBO has some of the best pizza you will find in all of Phoenix. It is located in a renovated historic home which has a lot of charm. Always good service and a location that is central.

We have visited this place multiple times over the past few years and when I found out they had a private room for me and my guests I was so excited! At first they were very accommodating, they let us see the room and discuss how we were going to set it up for our party and went over the menu's with us. It came as a big surprise to me when we showed up and had to wait over an hour and a half for our first course to come out! Everything just went downhill from there. We complained to our server multiple times (we had 1 server for a party of 40) that the room was extra hot and there was nothing done about it. I had about 10 guests having to get up to try and cool down outside, fanning themselves and sweating throughout the dinner. Then when half of our guests left I realized they never sent out dessert and we had to ask for it! I was then told we should have requested dessert to come out, what kind of restaurant waits 45 minutes to bring dessert after a meal is finished? My BIGGEST disappointment was how the catering manager, Michelle, handled everything after I sent her an email. I understand that she is the owner's wife but I've had teenagers talk to me nicer than she did. She was brash and offensive. Not only did she not take blame for anything she blamed our party for all of the issues. You can count on the fact that I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone and will have negative things to say when asked; which is unfortunate because I work downtown and a lot of people always ask me for recommendations. I sure hope the lack of customer service turns people off from dining here, you are better off going to Cheesecake Factory!

This is the third and last I visit Cibo, the tomato sauce tasted out of the can, the pizza was burned underneath and uncooked throughout, watery and doughy, after trying 3 different pizzas we all agreed that the parlor is better. I remember this place being better. The house salad however was great.

It only took me 4 pathetic years but I have finally tried both Cibo and Bianco's and I will firmly, 100% say that Cibo is way way better. I am so sure of it, I will happily count the ways. 1) Space and service: Cibo is large, has tons of seating space and very friendly service staff who come by often and make sure all your needs are being met (At Bianco's I sat outside in the heat and had to chase down a server every time I wanted more water). 2) Their menu is still concise but more diverse, their pizza selection is great and the variety of antipastos and salads satisfies the variety of consumers it gets. 3) The taste of their pizza. Hands-down a million times better than Biancos. I got the prosciutto with goat cheese and arugula as well as the pesto and potato pizza. Both had a crispy base, tons of flavor and a fresh taste to them. The antipastos (the main one and the veggie one) were absolutely amazing. Every veggie was slow-roasted and caramelized to perfection. The garlic tasted like candy and the meats and cheeses were robust and aged appropriately. I was incredibly full but I regret not getting dessert because my experience had been such a culinary indulgence that I felt I should have kept it going and finish the night with a bang. I can't wait to return and splurge all over again. Yummy.

Some of the best pizza and beer in Phoenix. The staff is attentive and the pizza unpretentious. Beer and wine lists and fresh and seasonal.

CIBO hasn't shared anything with you.

People are more likely to share with you if you add them to your circles.
