The bf's company decided to do a movie outing here...and while I wasn't feeling great I had to be the super girlfriend and make an apperance...lol Let me say I was super impressed!!! Nothing like CLEAN comfortable seats! I also love the the arm rest goes up so you can snuggle up to your date/partner/husband. Clean lobby!! I am super sensitive to smells and this didn't have any of the usual stale popcorn or cola smells that most theaters have. I would definetly go back.

Nice smaller theatre in San Mateo (actually the only one in SM). A parking garage that is pretty cheap is a couple of blocks away (which I recommend parking in). Kinda clean place, not too many lines (probably due to the limited amount of showtimes?), nice staff.

This has been our local cinema for the last year, and we've come here about 5-7 times since moving to San Mateo. The cinema itself plays all the latest blockbusters, so the range of fares isn't very extensive if your taste runs to foreign/indie. That said, it is very adequate. The screens aren't humongous like the Century theaters down in Santa Clara/San Jose. This makes for a more intimate, albeit less impressive, viewing experience. One thing that I really dislike is that some of the theaters are situated right next to the Caltrain tracks, so you can hear the trains whistling and running past.

It's a movie theater with all the stuff movie theaters usually have: the theaters, the overpriced snack bar, the arcade, and so on. No IMAX screens, so don't go if you want to see a film better in IMAX (Gravity is one example). It's functional, it's clean, it's a good movie theater.

A nice theater. I've never had any problem finding parking, and there lots of great restaurants nearby.

Nice but very small screens. I wouldn't go here to see any big action film.

Really a standard mid-sized movie theater, but it's appealing integration into the downtown San Mateo makes it a nice place to catch a new movie.
