According to the Credit Union National Association, 33.5% of Americans are members of a Credit Union. That is equal to 108,200,000 members! One of those Credit Unions in Southwest Missouri is BluCurrent Credit Union. BluCurrent boasts a membership of 20,613 as of April 30, 2017 and continues to grow substantially every year.

Our Firm had the privilege to design the BluCurrent Operations Center at Sunset and Kansas to assist in the facilitation of their strong growth. The addition to their existing location centralized the administrative offices, allowing for better access to its services by Credit Union members.

The addition also included offices for the Management/Administration, Lending Services, Member Services, Support Services, Accounting Service, Marketing Services, Training Services and Information Systems along with incorporating a new board room, large training room and several conference rooms.

26,000 STUDENTS

Esterly, Schneider has worked with educational institutions throughout Southwest Missouri. Projects have included Hillcrest High School and Fremont Elementary for the Springfield Public Schools, the Ozark High School Wrestling Building, and numerous projects at Missouri State University.

At Missouri State University, as you enter the campus from National, you will see the Welcome Sign designed by our firm and if you visit Morris Hall, you can see the renovations we designed for the Foreign Language Institute. In 2016, 26,000 students enrolled at Missouri State, and these individuals are the future for our community. We are grateful to be a small part of making their experience in higher education something that will benefit them and those whose lives they will impact over the years to come.

Take a moment to visit the education section of our portfolio to see some of the projects we have done across the Ozarks

The Residential Care Facility of the center was expanded to make three new private rooms with living areas and private baths. In addition, a complete remodel was done throughout the facility and all administrative areas were remodeled and expanded.

The updates included paint, wall coverings, carpet, furniture, light fixtures and millwork. All the administrative areas were remodeled and expanded. The majority of these projects were funded with Community Development Block Grants.

The Harshman Chiropractic Clinic opened their new office building infill with 3,000 S.F. of medical space with the potential to expand another 1,500 S.F. in the future. The clinic is designed to function around the doctor. The fluid layout moves patients through the space from exam room to the “hot seats” and then into an expansive open therapy bay. The clinic offers four exam rooms with an additional five tables in the therapy bay.

The office houses an X-Ray and exam room combination area for new patients off of the open glass wall of the patient-doctor consultation room. The reception and payment area is centrally located adjacent to both the waiting room and exam rooms for ease of communication between the Doctor and his staff. The openness of the chiropractic office easily guides patients through the exam and therapy process and creates a pleasant atmosphere for the patients.

Family Dentistry’s new office includes a receptionist area, waiting room, eight exam rooms, a dental laboratory, x-ray area with adjacent darkroom, sterilization facilities, doctor’s office, file storage, and various support spaces.

Elements such as split-face concrete block and red modular brick add mass to the building’s structure while also creating an aesthetically pleasing appearance. The office also utilizes an ample amount of natural light by incorporating floor to ceiling bow window in the exam rooms. The design of the windows is both dramatic and symmetrical, giving the building definition and balance. The full length windows also establish a calming and cheerful atmosphere for patients while visiting for their exams.

This Clinic contains a 50-seat waiting and reception area, administrative offices, five doctor’s offices, eight exam rooms, including G.I. Procedure, cardiology, laboratory, darkroom and an X-ray lab.

The single story structure is set into the hillside with an earth berm that embraces the building’s envelope with garden walls reaching out into the landscape. A ribbon of dark gray spandrel glass encompasses the building to emphasize the contrast between the split-face block and the copper metal roof. The red brick veneer adds mass and color to attract attention to the building’s entrance.

A beautiful view of Blues Lake off I-44 adds to the setting of this state of the art Medical Clinic, designed for ten doctors and constructed of brick and large bands of glass. The structure has two levels with separate Waiting/Reception Areas on each level. Five “pods” for the Physicians, making a total of forty Examination Rooms, were designed into the structure on two levels. Ancillary spaces surround the “pods” for maximum efficiency for the Doctors. The design provides for both Primary and Specialty Care practices on the two levels. A large Oncology Suite was designed for the needs of the patients and their families during treatment.
