Alright community. Need a sounding board. Have been beating my head against the wall. I have a story taking place between heaven, earth, purgatory and hell. Brainstorming ways that angels and demons would pass between the "levels", such as descending from heaven to earth. Goals: something that is not skill based (physical or mental tests) but rather access/privilege based, like having a key to a locked door, but could be revoked or left stranded under unfavorable conditions. Considered something like, to ascend, you pass over a threshold - door, archway, etc. Something to symbolize a crossing. Descending can be as simple as falling, perhaps from a requisite height. Want it to be easy to go down but require effort to go up. Any thoughts?

Alright friends. Time to get serious about this project. I met with the artist that I'm going to be working with on Salvation, my angel-themed graphic novel. We are excited to get to work; I have the story outlined start to finish and will be starting full script writing while he sketches it out as we go. Stay tuned for more updates - they'll be coming regularly. I am going to be sleeping, breathing, and living this project for the next few months. #amwriting

So I'm working on a graphic novel. I have an amazing artist working with me, I have the story outlined and we're starting the process of writing the full script and sketching it out. At what point in the process would we contact an agent or publisher about our project? Do we need to have it more or less drawn out and written fully, or is it better to pitch an idea early so that editors can get in before you waste time and resources on something they find lacking or needing a change in direction? I'm exploring crowd funding options such as Kickstarter as well as going a traditional publishing route. Basically, looking for the first step. Any insight would be highly appreciated.

Short screenplay (about 7 pages) meant to serve as a writing sample. Looking for feedback, specifically on the screenplay formatting & mechanics, and how the dialogue between the two primary characters sound.

I really despite trying to write in Blogger. Trying to format things correctly is a nightmare, even if you write it in Blogger instead of importing (which makes it even worse). What do you guys use for showcasing writing samples, getting feedback, etc?

Long work week behind me, long work week ahead of me. Two special assignments, some overtime, and an extra day tacked on to the week. Gonna be excited for this weekend.. In the meantime, working on getting a full detailed outline finished for Salvation, and I've turned a corner of my apartment into a dedication writing space. Long week.. but a good one.

I understand the role of agents in novels, but are there agents that deal with other mediums such as graphic novels? I understand the market is a different landscape, and the generally narrower audience might mean there are fewer who are interested in representing them. It's also possible that comic or graphic novel publishers use more in-house writers or artists and thus have less need to work with agents to find new talent. I have an artist and we're working on a full length graphic novel project - any thoughts on an agent's perspective?

Seeking feedback: Writing a story involving Hell. How does this sound - Six princes of Hell, each in command of 66 legions, each legion comprised of 666 demons. Clever use of the '666' numerology, or trying too hard?
