Substantial helping size, supported by rice. The Calamari and Sushi were excellently done, as well as the beef lunch special. Nice, relaxing environment, friendly staff, and a detailed menu with a wide variety of sushi options. Definitely recommended, works well for lunch and dinner.

Pretty good sushi. Service at the bar is a little lacking.

Just got done eating at "Sushi Teri", mainly because it was the only sushi place in Carpinteria. We got there at 5 pm as they opened and sat at the bar. They had quite a nice selection and plenty of specials of the day. It was just the kids and I and we ordered away. The service was great and even the kids commented on how quickly their drinks were refilled. As our sushi arrived and we started to eat it, we were plesently suprised at how fresh and good it was. We had a variety of fish and it was all great. So, in a nutshell, if you are staying or visiting Carpinteria and don't feel like driving to Santa Barabara, you will not be disapointed in the quality of the food!

Best Japanese food in Carp. Inside is a little tacky, but recent remodel helped. Not a romantic hideaway. just a big open room with a sushi bar.

I usually love sushi teri regardless of the fact that the service can be slow when it is busy. Unfortunately, last time I tried to go to sushi teri I was treated VERY poorly. Their sign clearly says that they are open until 10pm. I walked in with two friends at 9:40. They told us they were only doing takeout orders, we said no problem and asked to see a menu. We were instantly sassed that we needed to hurry and order right away and that they didn't have time to wait for me to take a quick look at the menu. If your sign says you are open until 10pm, then you should be open until 10pm. AND your staff needs to learn some manners. We all have long days, but the server there was RUDE! I won't be getting my sushi in Carpinteria anymore.

If Seiko-san happens to be working, then the sushi is good. Otherwise, the curry is pretty reliable. Service varies from acceptable to horrible. The place looks kinda old and worn.

Service was painfully slow and the menu wasn't very descriptive. Ordered Ahi Poke and there was mostly octopus in it and most of the raw stuff was warm but the staff was nice.

Very good food and service however a tad bit expensive.
