Not only was I fortunate enough to see a Melanistic whitetail deer, I witnessed a fight with another whitetail warrior within 6 yards of my hiding spot.  A melanistic deer is one of the rarest deer in the world.  They are rarely seen outside of 8 counties in Texas; and to see two monsters like this fighting over a doe may be the highlight of my wildlife photography career.  Still photos of the fight and the rare buck to follow.  Thanks for the interest.

Cedar Park Rodeo - What a diverse City!

What is going on with the rain in Austin?  In all my years in Austin, I have never seen it quite this bad.  Our heart goes out to those who have lost life and treasure in these terrible Memorial Day floods.  We have also seen a huge surge in car accidents in the Austin area during the last month.  During wet weather, allow yourself some extra time to get to your destination and give yourself some more room to stop when traveling at higher speeds.  Having handled thousands of auto accidents in Austin through the years, I can assure you that clients would trade all the money in the world in order to avoid their injuries.  The pain is not only physical but also mental and can continue for a lifetime.  Post Traumatic Stress is a common disorder after a severe accident.  Avoiding the accident is the best remedy to any accident.  If someone is tailgating or driving erratically, move over and let them pass.  Getting to your destination a few seconds quicker does not justify the risk to you and your family's health.  We wish you all a safe driving weekend.
