This is such a beautiful video it needs sharing. Far surpasses anything I have seen lately. Enjoy it.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

Differences make us unique:
If you spend your life trying to be good at everything, you will never be great at anything

Our society encourages us to be an allrounder, a well-rounded person who has all the attributes that are necessary for an organization to succeed. Organizations look for leaders who are great visionaries, great communicators and are able to get things done. But interestingly and paradoxically, those who strive to be competent in all areas are the least effective leaders at all.

Why?

When we try to be good at everything, we will never be great at anything. We cannot assume to be really good and perfect in all areas we aim on. No human being has the preconditions to perform best in all areas of life. We all have our weak points and weaknesses.

We better should accept our weaknesses. It is good to have weaknesses – weaknesses make us human and give us the chance to learn and grow.

WHAT WE SHOULD LEARN …

Don’t try to be good at everything – it will only lead to mediocrity.

There is NO leader who embodies all attributes on our wish list of what makes a well-rounded leader.

We too often think we need to be exactly like the leaders we admire, we try to imitate and take us out of our natural element.

Thus we eliminate our chances of success.

Each of us is different and these differences make our personality.

And it is those differences that defined great historical leaders, like Mahatma Gandhi or Nelson Mandela.

Differences lead to success, differences coin us and make us unique.

INDIVIDUALITY LEADS TO SUCCESS!

The European Commission proposes to ban deep sea bottom trawling. On December 10th the EU Parliament will vote on this. Please sign the petition to support the proposal.
This type of fishing wrecks the seabed. It can destroy in a few moments what nature has taken sometimes hundreds if not thousands of years to establish.
