Would there be any interest in a job board / professional network specifically aimed at people without a college degree?

I don't know, but there's absolutely no reason I'd ever open an IDE and not want a previous project to be loaded up to start, so I don't particularly care if that's a factor.

Are there any "gift certificate" systems for woocommerce that actually treat the gift certificate as stored currency vs "coupon discount"?  They're not the same thing at all, and every gift certificate WC plugin I've seen treats the gift code as a coupon instead of currency.

One plugin seems to address it, but I think is still faking it with weird hooks - not reviewed the code yet.  The problem is WC itself doesn't have the concept of stored value currency, just taking payments and hitting external payment services.  The 'store credit' plugin may do the job instead, but I don't know how we'd migrate existing gift certificate codes over to it.  :/

Hey +Aydin Akcasu  - great job on the www.RidinWithAydin.com bike ride.

Quick question - there's a couple days of 0 miles.  Were those planned rest days, or was it bad weather, or something else?

Google cloud SQL users

Is there a way to set "skip-name-resolve"? I think this is causing a slowdown on my connections from compute engine, but I can't find anything about it.

I had no idea people actually wrote PHP this way...

$result = $query -> result_array();

That the parser allows is bugs me slightly, but I've got probably more than 50k lines of code in this style....

Any friends/colleagues of mine in the Albury, NSW area free for a short favor this Friday?  Last minute, I know, and it's a long shot, but if you're available to help me out with a short surprise delivery, I'd appreciate it (can paypal or xfer payment for the service).

My neighbor is doing a triathlon this weekend to raise awareness and funds for Parkinson's research. So far, so good, right? He's running the 5k portion in full fireman's outfit (air tank and everything). He's a firefighter by trade, and while this is perhaps a bit gimmicky, he's got some local press lately:

http://wncn.com/2015/09/17/durham-firefighter-gearing-up-to-raise-funds-awareness-for-parkinsons-foundation/

He's been telling me about some of his in-gear training, and ... it's pretty difficult! 5ks are enough for me, but carrying around heavy equipment too... a bit insane!

If you'd care to help support this fellow runner, please consider donating at https://support.pdf.org/Triathlonfordad

Can't speak to the treatment of dogs, but our cats have had good service there. We use the boarding service for one of our cats, and he's been treated fine. The fees were reasonable, and the staff has always been friendly. We've also taken our cats in at various times for different health issues and service has been fine. Being closed on Sundays *and* Thursdays does make it difficult to use them when we want/need, but I don't think any vets around here are open 7 days a week. There may simply not be enough of a market for it. We've been to a couple other vets in the area who've also been good - I can't say Heartwood's service has been spectacularly better than others - they've simply been good when we've needed it.
