“The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.” -Rocky

It only takes a split second to smile and forget, yet to someone that needed it, it can last a lifetime. We should all smile more often.

It feels like Birmingham finally is emerging from the shadows cast by the ugly racial violence of 1963.

"We" means more than one. It means a chance to do more. More options, more action, more wins. In 2013, we will #makeitcount. Together.

The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was great! The meats and cheeses here are delicious and available for purchase. I suggest the Cubano sandwich with either house chips or Mac and cheese!

If you go after dark, the ice cream and coffee drink machines will most likely be down. Also, the workers are not usually enthusiastic and my order is typically wrong. I prefer the location on Coursey..a couple of miles down the road with better service.

It's hard to find an Arby's location now around Baton Rouge, and this is the closest and best one in the area. The food is always delicious, but sometimes the service can be average. Don't expect your food to be ready fast, but it is usually correct and tastes good. Arby's is one of my favorite fast food chains, but I wish they had more restaurants in the area.

This Walmart features a nail salon, hair salon, Money Center, Bank, Arcade, and Vision Center. They also have a variety of products available, but the major downside to this walmart is long lines and poor customer service. The workers look unhappy, and you are guaranteed to stand in a long line as there are only a few registers open. Use the self check out if possible to save time.

The perfect place to stop in and grab a few groceries if your in a hurry. I'm always in and out in just a few minutes. I never stand stand in lines, and the staff always greet you with a smile. It's a smaller grocery store, but they have a nice selection including a hot food bar, sushi area, and a nice bakery area. Usually not much more pricey than other grocery stores either. If your in a hurry, this is your stop!
