Whole Foods customers should be aware that the chain will be offering "West Coast Grass-Fed Beef". This comes at a cost of removing 1,070 of the originally planned 1,400 wild horses from Beaty's Butte public lands managed by the BLM in Oregon in November at tax-payer expense. 16 horses died due to the helicopter round-up, foals were separated from their mothers, families broken forever. Of the 1,070 captured 1,069 were shipped to holding to join the over 55,000 wild horses already in holding from all over the country. One loan stallion escaped and now is without his family. Whole Foods supplier Country Natural Beef will now be able to graze cattle there. They have left a non-viable number of wild horses on the range. We all should know by now that cattle add environmentally damaging methane gas into the atmosphere. We should also know that supposedly federally protected wild horses are being systematically removed from public lands in favor of special interests most notably the cattle industry. Public protest is encouraged.

I visit this location once a day on average. I'm spoiled to live so close to a whole foods! If you are the type of person who makes health a priority in your life and you start to research what the best things to eat for optimal performance are you start to realize that you have to get a lot of them at a store like Whole foods.

This is a great store for natural and organic food. It is a bit pricey, though. If you are in the mood for local produce, they host a farmers market in the parking lot during the summer and fall.

So far as selection, convenience, and service W.F. is great. I give it 3 stars because quality, non-gmo and organic foods should not be privileged items for privileged people. It's a bit shameful that we allow W.F. to charge us these prices and shame on ourselves for agreeing to pay these prices. If we demand it by voting with our dollars, they will lower their prices.
