Thanks to all for your likes, COMMENTS & sharing!

(Scroll down for my latest post.)

Unless otherwise cited with the copyright symbol ©, all materials in these collections are in the public domain and may be shared or printed for free!

This is how I handle your comments: I will "+" (like) your comments to indicate I have read & understood them. https://translate.google.com/ translates your comments into English. When replying to your comments, I will sometimes greet you in the language in which you post, then respond in English. Often Google translations don't make any sense, in which case I may not respond or I may ask for clarification.

On rare occasions, I will disable comments for a particular post. This will happen when extensive spamming or other persistent misbehavior occurs on a post. This action is reversible. When I think the spammers have moved on, I can enable posts again.

I look up acronyms such as "nyc," which according to http://goo.gl/f4RjCw could mean "New York City," "nice" or "not your concern." Confusing! Google refuses to display comments Google considers "spam." For instance, if you use a comment field to publicize a web site, Google sometimes interprets this as spam. I'll see your comment, but nobody else will.

Everyone should be aware of the parameters set forth in Google’s User Content and Conduct Policy (http://www.google.com/+/policy/content.html). Not only can you read Google's rules there, you can also report violations that you see. Google's anti-Spam efforts are a continuously trained machine learning model, so you can expect that policy change will occur over time (and that there will be an occasional glitch).

Keep those comments coming! Even if Google does not appreciate them all, I read them and I do! Comments I will delete are those attacking or denigrating people. (I make a point of strict "tack" control. This includes "banning" folks using avatars in a deliberately  offensive manner.) If your comment is not relevant to the post, or if it is a personal family announcement, I will remove it eventually after folks have had a chance to read it. Posts that appear to be nonsense characters will be deleted. (Here's an example of a nonsense post, which could be a translation error: "Fhekdjrjb. soosEaceoe o ogl O o o S ss Z zzz s J S D EX orsBasinHis XgesrSE z sq.") For personal & business correspondence, I use email exclusively (see my "about" page for the address).

I do not respond to "hangouts" posts, facebook, twitter, instagram, etc. as I prefer to consolidate my communications in one place.

Thank you all for your encouragement! The original collection at [ http://arnoldpostcardcollection.blogspot.com - The Earl J. Arnold Advertising Card Collection 1885 ] is now supplemented by the [ http://arnoldgalleries.com ] and about 20 or so Collections by subject [ https://goo.gl/A1QDdW ] including one that publishes embroidery patterns based on the trade cards at [ https://goo.gl/Vqd9sa ]

This image series is from [ http://goo.gl/6zUh7a ] page 122 of the Earl J. Arnold Advertising Card Collection 1885. Emma Jane Arnold considered it safe for her children to view. And it was. Granddad Arnold never put a tack on my chair!

Relocation Centers, "internment" camps, "concentration" camps, "temporary housing," "refugee camps," what is your future as a climate refugee? Jerome [ https://goo.gl/jGprm8 ] Arkansas, 1944, provides one possible answer. (Click link below for a silent home movie of the American "relocation center" experience.) Is this how YOU would like to be treated? Compared to some such camps, this was good living. Compared to having your freedom, however, the experience fell short.

For those who care... I think we are beyond this argument into the "OK, so what are we going to do about it" phase. "Not enough," is my answer. [ https://goo.gl/XkXLAQ ] This is a phenomenon that has outrun human understanding in the sense that the time to do something about Global Warming was well before we understood what was going on. We are left to deal with the consequences. Podcast with transcript.

List of Losers populating EPA advisory boards. This is a deliberate attempt to put pollution "foxes" in charge of the hen house. The destruction of the EPA continues....
