Been here twice... Both times I got a shellac manicure. The first time was decent enough - the tech cut a little too far into my cuticles but took care of it and the manicure looked great. They lasted a good three weeks. The second time was definitely not as good. The gel seems kind of like it was slopped on. There's plenty under my nails making it look like I have a weird growth under a couple of them and there's even a hair (possibly from the brush used to fix up my french tips) stuck in the polish on two of my nails! Like many places, it depends on the person you get...

A great GameStop. The staff is wonderful and friendly and the store always seems clean and organized. The one downside is they don't appear to carry older console games (at least PS2). But definitely a good place to go for newer games.

I have been going to Frizzles Salon for cut and color with Joanne for a couple years now and I absolutely love it. I used to go because I lived within walking distance and the was always spotless and sported a nice, contemporary design (the free beverages, including wine as an option, didn't hurt either). But my experience with colorist and stylist Joanne was exceptional so even though I have since moved farther away and must pay to park (the one downside I would say of the salon), I still come back. Though recently there's been some construction which lends to a bit of a disturbance in the ambiance... hopefully that will be over with soon.

Like many others, I deviated from my normal salon because of the wonderful deal that I got via groupon. I've been going to another salon in Alexandria since 2010 and having my naturally dirty blonde hair dyed an auburn red. I asked the stylist for if I could go lighter because I wanted to try to go back to blonde and she flat out said no, my hair was too dark. Now, I think the problem was miscommunication because my groupon was for all over color and I really needed highlights, but I have never been flat out told "no, n-o" at a salon before, so that was a jarring experience. I wish I could remember the stylist's name, but unfortunately I cannot. She was otherwise polite enough, if somewhat inattentive. I will give them that my appointment was one of the last in the day, and because of the influx of appointments they had due to the groupons, they were running late, so they were open later than normal. I gave then a 1 because their talent is definitely decent, but their customer service skills are lacking. My friend I went with got a challenging color and style and it came out beautifully. And there was really nothing to complain about mine. I just have absolutely no intention of returning because it was such an uncomfortable experience. For a salon that supposedly "[combines] artistry and style with the highest quality of customer service," they certainly did not meet my expectations when I went.

Like many of the reviews before this one, the sushi was wonderful and the service was astonishingly quick and friendly. Will definitely be coming back.
